LIFE SKILLS COACH

The Comprehensive Learning Center, Inc. is dedicated to serving individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in order to maximize their potential to become independent, productive and meaningful contributors of society. We are seeking passionate and energetic individuals to provide services to our adult clients.

This part-time position currently offers approximately 15 hours/week.

Compensation: up to $20.00/hour (depending on experience)

The Life Skills Coach (LSC) responsibilities include supporting adult clients using behavior analytic principles and strategies. The LSC assists the Director of Adult Services in identifying, planning and developing individualized programming for all adult clients, including motivational systems and behavior support procedures. The LSC participates in Individual Support Plan (ISP) and inter-agency meetings as appropriate. In addition, LSC responsibilities include daily data collection, data analysis, and daily progress note writing.

Supervised by: Director of Adult Program

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implements programming for adult clients based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
• Collects, graphs and analyzes program data on a daily basis
• Prepares necessary materials for programming
• Contributes to ISP process
• Writes daily progress notes
• Attends and participates in:
Monthly supervision
Regular staff meetings
Relevant training workshops

Education/Experience:
• Minimum of one-year experience providing services to adults with developmental delays
• Minimum of one-year experience utilizing applied behavior analysis preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Requirements:
• Must have current automobile insurance
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Must have current state motor registration
• Must have PA State Police, FBI and Child Abuse clearances
• Must have CPR/First Aid/AED certifications

PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER

We are seeking passionate and energetic individuals to provide instruction and behavior support services to our students.

This is a part-time position.

Supervised by: Controller

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Check vendor invoices and staff reimbursement requisitions for accuracy
    • Apply codes and classes for data entry
    • Enter transactions
    • Prepare accounts payable run and obtain approval
    • Prepare checks
    • File paid invoices
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Apply codes and classes on all receipts
    • Prepare checks to be deposited into the bank
    • Post cash receipts
    • File cash receipts documentation
  • Credit cards:
    • Review and apply codes and classes for data entry
    • Enter transactions and reconcile statements
  • Assist Controller in month end close and preparing financial reports – this includes financial statements, cash flow statements, budgets, forecasts and projections.
  • Flexible Spending and Dependent Care – input transactions and reconcile to bank account
  • Assist Controller in preparing service billings (tuition, waiver and private pay)
  • Petty cash replenishment, disbursements and recording
  • Compile other routine financial information for reporting purposes on internal computer systems
  • Assist Controller in maintaining accounting record files
  • Employ the double entry accounting system when coding and classing accounting documents
  • In conjunction with Controller, ensure compliance to all GAAP principles including the principles related to accounting processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Certification, training and/or experience in accounting procedures and reporting is necessary
  • A minimum of three to five years of financial/accounting work
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of organizing and maintaining filing systems
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices, financial reporting and principles
  • Knowledge of basic business math
  • Skill in maintaining accounting records
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication
  • Ability to meet schedules and deadlines on various projects
  • Skilled in navigating, understanding and creating products from varying specialized computer software programs (i.e. Excel, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Knowledge of non-profit accounting a plus
  • Ability to work effectively with team members
  • Sensitivity to the needs of students with disabilities

Requirements:

  • Clean Criminal/Child Abuse/FBI Fingerprint clearances
  • A vehicle, valid driver license and acceptable driving record
